My teaching philosophy centres on adaptive learning and student empowerment. Drawing from my experience leading Modern Foreign Languages departments and overseeing academic progress for students aged 5-18, I employ: Differentiated instruction tailored to individual learning styles and pace Interactive, communicative methods that build confidence through practical application Progressive skill-building with clear milestones and regular assessment Cultural immersion techniques leveraging my native French fluency and international experience Technology-enhanced learning incorporating digital resources and online platforms I believe in creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them. I also believe that length of lessons depend on age, circumstances and what needs to be covered. A minimum of 30 minutes is a good start for a lesson focused on speaking, for example. However, for longer projects which include writing and developing understanding 60-90 minutes would be more appropriate.
