About Elyse
I am an Urban Planner by practice, and am currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Toronto in the field of urban planning.
I have provided french/english tutoring and translation services for the past 3 years and love helping students and clients reach their goals!

I'm a native french speaker from Canada. I have previous tutoring experience in both french and english with children aged 6-12. I welcome all ages and levels of French proficiency, whether it be reading, writing, or conversational.
I approach sessions with a tailored plan aligned with your goals. My approach is laid back, and I believe that conversational skills (casual dialogues) are key in building confidence and mastering a new language.
FIRST SESSION: Through a first (free) session, we will discuss your goals and tailor a plan together that is aligned with your preferred learning style. This first session will allow me to gauge your level and learn about your hobbies and interests which will help me tailor the lessons. The goal is to make the lessons as fun and engaging as possible!
I use Zoom or Skype to host the sessions. Starting on the second lesson, you will be given access to a Google folder with learning materials and additional activities (for practice). :)
