About Marie-Christine
As a native French speaker with a degree in French Literature from la Sorbonne and specialized training in French as a Second Language, I bring both deep cultural knowledge and academic expertise to my teaching. My French heritage and culture are sources of great pride that I love sharing with my students.
My teaching experience spans diverse environments and age groups - from public and private schools to online platforms. I've worked with children, teenagers, university students, and adults, adapting my approach to each learner's needs. To enrich my students' learning experience, I've organized immersive linguistic and cultural trips to France, giving them authentic exposure to French life and language.
For the past four years, I've been teaching with Babbel Live, conducting both group sessions and private lessons. Whether in-person or online, I'm committed to making French accessible and engaging. Teaching French isn't just my profession - it's my passion and calling. Let me guide you on your French learning journey!
I am also a poet and a painter. I love the arts and traveling. I live in the United States with my husband and my dog. Trust me to teach you French!

Perfect! I started taking lessons with Marie-Christine in July because I was moving to France in October. I told her I needed to get my very basic French to an intermediate level in only three months--and she did! We conversed in French for a majority of my lessons, and covered a lot of advanced topics as well as reviewing the basics.
I am now living in France, and can converse with my co-workers because of Marie-Christine and our lessons! If you're looking for a great, personable tutor, I highly recommend her!- Nicole was a high motivated student, always on time, comitted to her learning. Marie-Christine is a very fun and knowledgeable teacher. She is happy to tailor every lesson to meet every individual student's learning goals, whether they are beginners or intermediate French speakers. I also appreciate her love of the French language — it's clear she enjoys her profession.
The number one thing I can confidently say as having Marie-Christine as a French teacher is that she will make each and every class a blast. It's clear that she is passionate about not only teaching, but the French language itself, including the French culture and arts. Marie Christine has taught me French in a variety of classes. All have been productive and fun. She understands her students and tailors her approach to her student’s learning abilities and needs. She also incorporates the French culture in her lessons. So I have not only learned the French language from her but have learned about French art, cuisine, music and French life in general.
Marie Christine has patiently helped me with my French accent and has helped me with my specific needs as a volunteer and tourist in various French speaking countries . Her passion for the French language and culture and her love of teaching is evident. Anyone who is able to take a class or arrange for her to be a their teacher is very lucky. All her students that I have met over the years agree that she is a superb teacher and we all love learning French because of Marie Christine.
