About Charlene

Bonjour! I'm Charlène, a native French speaker who recently moved from France to Roscommon, Ireland, with my husband and our three daughters!

I'm a qualified healthcare assistant, but I've always loved sharing knowledge, connecting with people and helping others feel more confident.

French is my mother tongue, and I'd love to share not only the language but also a little bit of French culture and everyday life!

I know how intimidating it can feel to speak a language that isn't your own. Since moving to Ireland, I've experienced that feeling myself when speaking English! So I completely understand how important patience, encouragement and a relaxed atmosphere can be.

Whether you're a student preparing for your oral exams or an adult hoping to improve your French, I'd be delighted to help you progress at your own pace.

For me, learning a language should be an enjoyable experience, not something to be afraid of.

I look forward to meeting you!

À bientôt,
Charlène

About the lesson

Learning French shouldn't feel intimidating or stressful!

As a native French speaker from France, I offer friendly, personalised one-to-one sessions adapted to each student's level, needs and goals.

My approach is simple: learn through conversation, practice and encouragement!

Whether you're a secondary school student looking to improve your spoken French, preparing for oral exams, or an adult wanting to learn or refresh your French, I'll adapt each session to you.

During our lessons, we can work on:

- Speaking confidently and naturally in French
- Pronunciation and listening comprehension
- Vocabulary and useful everyday expressions
- Practising questions and answers for oral exams
- Building confidence through real conversations

I believe that making mistakes is a completely normal part of learning a language. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, practising and improving at your own pace.

No pressure, no judgement, just French taught with patience, encouragement and a little bit of fun!
