About Salomée
Hello everyone!
My name is Salomée and I currently live in Brighton. I am originally from a tiny seaside town in Southern France and I have been teaching French for a fair few years now. I love to see my students click, improve and most of all, witness their growth. Teaching to me is a two-ways system and I am grateful for all the learning I'm also doing through this rewarding job. Transmission is important to me and I am looking forward to get to know you.
In my spare time, you'll probably find me somewhere with a cuppa, reading a book.

I first started to learn English when I was 10 years old and I know that learning a language can be frustrating when we're eager to learn. That's why I like tailoring each lesson to the person and their interests in order to make it entertaining and fun. The first session will be mostly me getting to know you as a person and assess your level in French so we can move forward with an approach specifically made for you and what you're passionate about. My lessons typically last an hour. I have been tutoring 1-1 for over 5 years now and can adapt to any level and age (I currently have students who are learning from scratch and some that need practising their conversational skills).
I am originally from France and lived in the UK for over 10 years. I have a BA in English Literature and a MA in International Journalism.

I met Salomée over a year ago after she responded to my ad for a French conversation tutor. Being a writer/poet Salomée is passionate about language , her fluency in English and easy going nature created a fun and relaxed learning environment . I always felt supported and was never afraid of making mistakes . The homework Salomée set was challenging but never beyond my grasp. My French conversation has progressed enormously with Salomée’s help . I would not hesitate to recommend her to other Superprof members.
Salomée is such a friendly, patient teacher. We have weekly lessons and I feel that my French conversation has really improved. I hope we'll be able to continue our conversation for a long time!
