About Nathalie
I am a native French speaker with a strong international academic background and a passion for teaching language and culture. I hold a Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, an Executive MBA, and a Master’s degree from Harvard University in Government. My education and professional experience have taken me across multiple international environments where clear communication, analytical thinking, and cultural understanding are essential.
Because French is my native language and I have studied languages academically, I am able to help students not only improve their grammar and vocabulary, but also develop a natural and confident way of speaking and writing French.
I enjoy working with high school students, university students, and adult learners, particularly those who already have a basic foundation and want to strengthen their conversational fluency, written expression, and overall confidence in French.
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and adapted to each student’s goals. Whether you are preparing for exams, improving academic writing, practicing conversation, or strengthening your professional language skills, I focus on creating lessons that are both rigorous and engaging.
Having lived and worked internationally, I also enjoy incorporating elements of French culture, history, and current affairs into lessons, which helps students better understand the context and richness of the language.
My goal is to create a serious but welcoming learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing, asking questions, and steadily improving their French.

Bonjour!
I work with intermediate and advanced learners who want to:
• Improve conversational fluency
• Strengthen grammar and written expression
• Prepare for exams or university coursework
• Develop professional or academic French
• Gain confidence speaking French in real-world situations
My lessons are structured but conversational, combining grammar, vocabulary, and discussion to help students progress naturally and effectively. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, whether that is academic success, professional communication, or cultural fluency.
Given my academic and professional background, I can also work with students who want to develop specialized vocabulary and communication skills in areas such as diplomacy, entrepreneurship, negotiations, international conferences, and speech writing.
I have an international background and enjoy helping students connect language with culture, history, and current affairs, making learning both engaging and meaningful.
Based in Silicon Valley / San Francisco Bay Area
