About Anna
I am half German, having been raised to bilingual in German and English from birth.
I sat my German GCSE 2 years early and obtained an A*, before studying German at A-Level where I also received an A*.
I recently graduated with a 2:1 in Law with German and German Law from the University of Nottingham, and obtained a distinction in spoken German. I also spent my third year studying German Law at the University of Göttingen in Germany, all lectures and exams were conducted in German.
I have read a vast amount of German literature and can therefore signpost students to interesting books, depending on their personal preference, as well as having studied various German classics for my own education.
I can provide help via phone call, skype or home visits (within reasonable distance) to strengthen fluency and expression in both written and spoken German. Having recently gone through the exams myself, I can provide a good idea of what the examiners are looking for as well as improving language skills more naturally.

Lessons can be shaped around the aims of the student: be it preparation for school/college exams, improving previous knowledge of German, or a complete beginner who wants to learn conversational German.
I can do home visits, Skype or phone calls to practice German with students in preparation for oral examinations. I can help broaden and deepen their understanding of German grammar and vocabulary.
I can set students work/reading to do to help prepare them for exams, or for personal enjoyment (including newspaper articles, online blogs, and books). I can set students tasks to do and articles or topics to read and prepare for us to either discuss or to hold a conversation.
In the first hour, I will discuss the above with the student, and set out what it is that they want from the lessons, as well as how best to achieve their goals.
