About Maria
I love teaching Greek as second/foreign language and my main goal is to always create the best possible learning experience for my students. Even if this requires extra effort and time, I keep trying and improving. My lessons are based on communicational approaches combined with various teaching approaches and methods. They are designed based on learner's needs, goals and interests, improve evenly all the language skills and are enriched with different educational tools (playing roles, games, creative activities, music, etc).

I am a native Greek speaker and teacher of Modern Greek Language to foreing/immigrant/refugee adults and children. I provide N.G.O. ANKAA Project with my tutoring services and, also, I teach greek language in private lessons near the metro stations "Syntagma", "Evangelismos", "Monastiraki", "Panepistimio" and "Victoria", as well as in Pangrati, Kaisariani, Vyronas and Kypseli. Furthermore, lessons can take place through videocall in any preferred platform (Zoom, Skype, etc.).
I have graduated from the Department of Primary Education (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens) and hold a master (MA) in "Current Trends in Linguistics for Teachers" (Hellenic Open University). My MA thesis is on the topic "The academic vocabulary in public documents and its teaching in modern Greek as a second language" and was successfully presented in the International Conference on Greek Linguistics in 2022.
My class integrates traditional and innovative teaching methods and techniques, such as games, role-playing and music activities. It is student-centered and based on the modern communicational approaches.
