About Laura Robin
I am a native Italian speaker based in Cork, originally from Italy, with a Master's degree in Semiotics and 14 years of teaching experience in Ireland. I am also a trained actor and director with a fellowship in Speech and Drama, a self-published writer, and a lifelong language lover.
I know what it feels like to learn a language in a country that isn't your own, because I've lived it. That experience makes me a patient, empathetic and creative teacher who genuinely understands the challenges and joys of language learning.
My lessons are warm, encouraging and tailored to you. No judgment, no pressure: just Italian.

As a native Italian speaker with 14 years of teaching experience in Ireland, I bring language to life through a communicative, immersive approach, focusing on natural conversation, cultural context, and real-life Italian from the very first lesson.
My background in semiotics and drama gives me a unique insight into how language works and how people learn. I adapt my teaching style to each individual student, making lessons engaging, dynamic and effective.
I teach absolute beginners through to Leaving Certificate level, working with secondary school students of all ages. Lessons typically last one hour and are available in person in Cork or online.
Whether your goal is to pass your Leaving Cert oral, build conversational confidence, or simply fall in love with the Italian language, I will meet you where you are and take you further than you thought possible.
