About Leila
I am from Barcelona (Spain), born and bred. I moved to the UK over 9 years ago and self-taught myself English. I self-studied for English exams such as IELTS, and later perfected my English at University.
I am Business Management graduate, currently completing my master's in International Relations.
I have taught all levels since I was 16 years old.
- I have worked with students only getting started with their Spanish
- I have worked with GCSE and A-Level students' curriculum for over two years.
- I have given classes to university students studying Spanish and Catalan. This included reviewing essays, conversational and pronunciation practice, grammar practice, and exam preparation.
- I have worked with professionals looking to improve their Spanish in the workplace

Bienvenido,
Thank you for taking an interest in my lessons - I love teaching Spanish and Catalan. I strive to make my students feel comfortable, yet challenged in a relaxed environment, whilst learning languages.
I can take both a laid back approach, where the you tell me about what you vaguely aim for and I cater to your needs with my own materials and knowledge, OR I can plan lessons rigorously around a specific curriculum that you might follow, such as A-Level.
My aim is to suit the level you might like to engage with, whether it's conversational Spanish/Catalan, better your pronunciation, grammar, listening skills, and more!
I use a variety of material including videos, podcasts, PPTs, and platforms such as Menti or Kahoot!.
