About Ashley
Born in Miami, Florida, to my Cuban parents, Spanish was my first language at home. Then kindergarten came, and English was introduced. Now I am a native speaker of both languages, conversing in both daily and actively as the world progresses to a multi-language future.

As an American-Cuban Spanish tutor, my approach combines real-world communication, cultural immersion, and structured learning. I focus on helping students use Spanish naturally and confidently, not just memorize grammar rules.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s goals, learning pace, and preferred learning methods. Lessons balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a strong emphasis on conversation. I use practical examples, everyday vocabulary, role-playing, and guided conversations to help students think in Spanish rather than translate word by word.
Because I grew up bilingual and bicultural, I also teach authentic pronunciation, expressions, and cultural context, especially from Cuban and Caribbean Spanish, while still explaining neutral and standard Spanish when needed.
