Clinton and I started working together because he wanted to brush up on his Spanish. He had studied it before, but, as often happens with life and time, he felt like he’d lost touch with it a little. Honestly, I think we’ve brought that Spanish muscle back to life — and with strength!

He’s such a dedicated and curious student. One of the things I love most about working with him is how genuinely interested he is in how language works. He often comes to class with great questions, insights, or something new he discovered on his own. That kind of curiosity makes every class richer and his learning deeper and more intentional.

Clinton is also constantly challenging himself — not just in Spanish, but in life. Whether it’s yoga, running, or anything new he’s exploring, he brings that same open, thoughtful energy to everything he does. And that attitude really shows in his progress.

It’s been a joy to share this learning journey with him. ¡Vamos con todo, Clinton!

Leila is one of my favorite students—don’t tell the others! She’s a focused, socially conscious, intelligent, and sensitive teenager. She’s very easy to connect with, and Spanish comes naturally to her.

In our lessons, we explored daily topics, readings, and videos about Latin American social reality, shared passions like poetry, and practiced for her exam. She easily grasps the deeper aspects of cognitive grammar and applies them effortlessly. I’m confident she will do wonderfully in her exams!

Sean is the best! He’s super warm, intelligent, and fun—the best student you could ask for! He’s diligent, always does his homework, and brings interesting questions to class.

We can philosophize about grammar and have fun conversations. His background in Tagalo is really interesting and helpful—there are so many similarities I hadn’t realized! He also loves anime, which makes our chats even more fun. Talking with him beyond class is always engaging, especially about culture and history. Both of our countries were colonized, and it’s very interesting to see how that reflects in the present.

Sean is curious, fun, intelligent, and genuinely a joy to teach!

Teaching Max has been one of those heartwarming experiences that stay with you. Max is an absolute sweetheart—expressive, sensitive, curious, and full of beautiful energy to learn through play. From our very first lessons, I realized that songs would be our magic tool, and I wasn’t wrong. He loves them! And through music, shapes, colors, and the world around him, we’ve created a joyful and meaningful space to explore Spanish together.

At his age, keeping attention in a class can be quite a challenge—especially when the teacher is new, like I was. But with patience, playfulness, and lots of love, we’ve built a lovely connection. Our lessons are now full of laughter, movement, discoveries, and Spanish words that pop up naturally as we play.

I’m also incredibly grateful to his mum, who’s always present, supportive, and committed to Max’s learning journey. I find it so beautiful and meaningful that the family made it a priority for Max to learn Spanish as a way to connect with his Latin American roots on his dad’s side. It’s such a loving and thoughtful gesture, and I’m honored to be part of that.

I’m really happy to keep sharing this journey with Max—looking forward to many more songs, games, and Spanish adventures together!

Stuart is the best! Learning structures comes very easily to him, and he studies a lot on his own too. He loves immersing himself in culture—especially food! He adores cooking Mexican dishes, and they’re delicious!

Teaching him has been super easy because everything flows naturally. We’ve gone through topics even faster than average! He’s so much fun, and we always talk about Australian and Latin American culture. Comparing cultures and seeing how language reflects them is always fascinating with him.

He has a deep understanding of language, especially with cognitive grammar, which makes our lessons even more engaging and insightful.

Joe is an excellent student — super dedicated, responsible, and fully committed to everything he sets out to do, not just in learning Spanish, but also in his passions like running and his podcast.

He brings that same passion and focus into our classes, always showing up with great energy and a competitive spirit that really drives his progress. That mindset has allowed me to introduce different types of exercises and activities to support his learning.

Joe practices a lot outside of class too, especially by connecting and speaking with his Latin American friends, and it truly shows. Little by little, his Spanish is becoming more fluid and natural, and the results are already showing.

It’s been a real pleasure to share this time with him and to walk alongside him on this journey.

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Spanish to Matteo for about a month, and it’s been a truly lovely and enriching experience. From the very beginning, his Spanish was already fluent and natural, with a great understanding of the language.

In our classes, we focused on giving him a clearer grammatical framework — exactly what he needed to continue refining his Spanish. Matteo is dedicated, consistent, and always shows up eager to learn something new. He has an authentic motivation and a contagious enthusiasm for learning.

He also brought a poetic touch to every class, which made our conversations feel special and full of soul.

University Spanish classes can be demanding and move very quickly, but in our lessons, we were able to slow down and focus on the areas she needed most. Thanks to this, she succeeded in her courses!

Paul and Ruben are charming, intelligent, and very creative. They like to learn Spanish through games, sometimes even through games that they propose. The games we use are primarily focused on body movements, and they work. In addition, we also produce short sentences and review sounds. Teaching them Spanish is very enriching and fun.
