Hello! My name is Laura and I am from Madrid, Spain.
I came to the US to study my Master’s and teach Spanish and I LOVE IT!

Some highlights from my current and past teaching experiences include, but are not limited to, teaching students from elementary to university levels both in Spain and the US. In my current job at SIU, I have been using diverse approaches, such as the communicative and the cognitive approach, and blend them together addressing different competencies at the same time. During my experiences in teaching, I have developed the ability to communicate complex information in an easy, simple and interactive way. Teaching students from different cultural backgrounds has given me the chance to experience the need to be flexible and adapt my teaching practices to the trending methodologies and techniques to achieve success.
