About Raquel

I am a college student, and I have lived in Latin America my entire life. I have been giving lessons in English, Spanish, and Math since I was in high school, and I have had 7 students ranging from the ages of 4-15. My students passed school entry exams and excelled in their school work thanks to their time with me.

About the lesson

My teaching method varies based on the age of the student. I tend to use flashcards, and I play table games with younger children. If the student is old enough, I will go through their homework with them and create similar questions to the ones he or she struggles with to ensure success in the classroom. I teach my classes mainly in Spanish, only using English when necessary.

Having grown up in Latin America, her mom and all her relatives being native Spanish speakers, Raquel doesn't need to think about how to say anything - it comes to her naturally. Being kind and detail oriented is a bonus.

I know Raquel because she taught my 5 year old brother how to read in both English and Spanish in less than 2 months. Also, she helped me with my Calculus and English classes. I recommend her not only because of her kindness and patience toward her students, but also because of how effective she is with her work and self discipline.
