• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I've always been passionate about languages. Since childhood, I've always been mesmerized when I listened to foreigners speaking their mother tongue, and I had this kick in me to understand what they're saying :)

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  There are few things that drive me about teaching Ukrainian (as well as English), among them 1) the ability to share about my culture and country and represent them on an international level, 2) the opportunity to show my students that they can actually carry out a conversation with a native speaker about the meaning of life ;) and making them feel successful about it! 3) and last but not least, it's a chance for me to get to know every person well and hear their unique stories.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  What I like most about tutoring is helping people discover the beauty of the Ukrainian language and culture. I enjoy making lessons interactive, practical, and adapted to each student’s goals — whether they want to communicate in everyday life, travel, or understand Ukrainian traditions more deeply. What makes me a 'Superprof' is my ability to explain grammar in a simple way (yes, dear, I AM talking about the cases in Ukrainian), focus on the most useful vocabulary, and create a friendly atmosphere where students feel comfortable practicing and making progress. I’m patient, supportive (sometimes funny), and always adjust my teaching to match each learner’s pace and interests.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  I've had quite a few, but two of them stand out - firstly, it's my high school German teacher who helped me discover my inclination towards languages and guided me in the right direction by always giving me praise and making me feel special, and, secondly - it's James from EngVid (with his funny worm companion :D), who's relaxed atmosphere, visual explanations, unique humour and stylish clothing I've always adored.

• What are your keys to success?

  For me, success in tutoring comes from three things: curiosity, creativity, and consistency. I spark curiosity by showing students how Ukrainian connects to culture, history, or even their own language. I use creativity to adapt lessons — whether through stories, comparisons, or practical examples — so learning feels alive, not mechanical. And I believe consistency, even in small steps, is what turns short-term effort into lasting progress. These are the principles that guide both my students and myself.
