About Ahsan
Math was never my strong or favorite subject, I was always an awful student in school. However when I began college I was placed in elementary algebra and I started by learning fractions which I always had trouble with up until college. I also gained mental clarity once I started relearning the basics in math. It helped me realize that I wasn't dumb, I just wasn't familiar with the foundations. I eventually moved my way up and went to tutoring whenever I had trouble understanding a problem, and after failing and being too afraid to take difficult math classes I came up with techniques to help myself overcome the fear of failure. It was a long journey that has been on pause and I would love to proceed by teaching what I know to students who have struggled as I have.

I allow my students to make mistakes and learn from them instead of giving them the answers straightaway. A typical lesson plan would be to set long term goals, and a few short term to keep that motivation alive. I offer emotional support and also explain to the students with a motivational approach that it's all about your mindset when it comes to math and preaching that a strong foundation is much more important than making quick progress. The lessons are for any level of math up to calculus 2 excluding statistics.
