About Tirtha
I'm a current undergraduate Senior at Virginia Commonwealth University majoring in Cognitive Science and Neurobiology. I have had 5+ years of tutoring and teaching experience in various positions. I was an Algebra and Geometry tutor for 2 years, helping students with homework and test-taking, as well as a plant-science teacher for 2 years at the National Botanic Gardens in D.C.
I can provide help in a variety of subjects including but not limited to, Biology, Genetics, grade-school Science, college-prep, test-taking/study skills, etc.

I like to develop a good relationship with students so they feel comfortable with the things they might be struggling with, in their classes. I am really patient and think it is best to approach complex topics by gradually building on concepts. As a student involved in rigorous course loads and real research experience in STEM, I can really prepare students for a future in STEM, if they are interested!
