About Ciara
I have just returned from a ski season in the French resort of La Rosiere and I am looking to use my qualifications and experience to help students in between travelling. I attended Newcastle University for four years, where I met some amazing friends and obtained a BA degree in History and an MA degree in International Relations. As well as History, I also studied Geography and Ethics and Philosophy at A-Level in school. Therefore, I have a lot of experience in Humanities subjects and specialise in techniques to answer essay questions. I would love to help any students become confident in their own ability to take exams in these subjects.

From my own experience in education I recommend a length of 50 minutes to an hour for a lesson in order for both me and the student to benefit from the interaction. I primarily prefer to work through exam practise questions and discuss sample answers as well as take time for the student to ask me about specific parts of the syllabus or question styles they feel they need help with. I have experience being taught in a grammar school after being tutored for the entrance exam and have been taught in lectures and seminars at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, therefore have experience with many classroom settings, which is beneficial for me when teaching the student. I offer tutoring for GCSE and Alevel students in either History, Geography, Ethics and Philosophy or Politics, as I have qualifications of at least A level standard in all of these subjects.
