About Jasmine
Mathematics can feel intimidating, but with the right guidance, it becomes logical, approachable, and even enjoyable. My goal as a tutor is to not only help students solve problems but also to build their confidence in tackling them independently. My Teaching Method I teach by simplifying complex concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations and adapting my approach to each student’s learning style. I emphasize understanding the why behind each problem, not just memorizing formulas. By combining visual aids, real-world examples, and plenty of guided practice, I create lessons that are both engaging and effective.

I believe math is best learned through understanding, not memorization. My method focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps while connecting abstract ideas to real-world examples. I encourage students to explain their reasoning aloud, which helps me identify misconceptions and helps them strengthen their problem-solving process. I use a mix of visual aids, guided practice, and independent problem-solving to reinforce concepts.
A Typical Lesson Plan
1. Warm-up (5 minutes): Quick review of previous material to reinforce retention.
2. Concept Introduction (10–15 minutes): Present new ideas using simple explanations, visual models, or analogies.
3. Guided Practice (15–20 minutes): Work through problems together, asking leading questions to promote critical thinking.
4. Independent Practice (15–20 minutes): Students attempt problems on their own while I provide support as needed.
5. Wrap-up (5 minutes): Summarize the key concept, highlight common mistakes, and preview the next lesson.
