About Chelsea
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. I am currently pursuing my second degree in nursing. While completing my prerequisites, I realized that I was grasping the material quicker than I anticipated. This gave me more time to explain concepts to other students and strengthened my own knowledge. What started as a simple volunteering opportunity quickly grew into a passion for helping others learn.
My professional experience also gives me the ability to help people develop proper time management and organization skills which can further aid them in their academic careers.
My intent is to be a resource for my students. I believe encouragement, patience, and flexibility are essential qualities for a tutor to demonstrate and help aid in a student's success.

My teaching philosophy consists of a student-centered approach and breaking down complex concepts. I ensure my students have a basic understanding of the material, then proceed to prioritize specific content or concepts requested by the student. A typical lesson includes a personalized plan to suit a student's learning style, the use of real world applications, and creating a long term study plan. I also share tips that help students maximize their study time and prioritize more challenging topics.
