About Itayetzy
I am a dedicated French horn performer and tutor with experience in professional ensembles, chamber groups, and international festivals. I bring both academic training and real-world performance knowledge to every lesson. My teaching combines structure, patience, and enthusiasm to help students build confidence and grow as musicians. I adapt lessons to each student’s goals, whether that means preparing for auditions, strengthening ensemble skills, or developing a solid musical foundation. What sets me apart is my commitment to excellence and my ability to connect with students of all backgrounds. Every lesson is designed to inspire progress, professionalism, and a lifelong love of music.

My teaching method focuses on developing a strong technical foundation, allowing musicality to shine through.
A typical lesson begins with warm-ups and technique exercises tailored to the student’s level. From there, we move into etudes, focusing on articulation, tone, and phrasing. I love to integrate music theory to develop the musical ear. At last, an assigned solo is given to further develop the student's repertoire. Short-term and long-term goals are constantly taken into account.
What sets me apart is my dual perspective as both a performer and educator. I bring experience from professional ensembles, festivals, and academic settings, offering students insights into real-world performance as well as classroom learning. Being bilingual in English and Spanish also allows me to connect with a wider range of students and families. My goal is not only to improve technical ability but also to build confidence and joy in music-making.
My lessons are ideal for middle and high school students, as well as early college students, interested in French horn performance. Whether a beginner just starting or an intermediate-advanced student preparing for auditions, I tailor lessons to meet each individual’s needs and goals.
