About Andrew
I am an NYU Junior with a passion for financial analytics, international business, entrepreneurial risk taking, languages and culture. I am currently pursuing my B.S. in Business & Finance, and hold a Minor in Chinese Language from NYU Shanghai. I have years experience working with children and tutoring English to ESL children and family, and am truly passionate in roles as a leader and educator for young people. I have a proven track record as a curious, self-motivated and results-driven individual with life passions including: private portfolio management, physical fitness, language studies, cinematography/animation, international travel and cultural immersion. I am a curious, self-motivated and results-driven individual who enjoys learning as much from students as they do from myself. I have typically taught ESL children between ages 5-14, but I am certainly open to working with anyone who I may help. As an instructor, I approach tutoring with patience and understanding for my students' struggles. Having studied four languages myself, and coming from a bilingual family background, I understand where students may experience frustration and difficulty during the language learning process. I look forward to helping students overcome the initial hurdles of learning English by reassuring and guiding them to the point that they are comfortable, and everything begins to "click".
