About Franchesca
Hi! My name is Franny and I’ve been playing the oboe since I was in 4th grade. I’m in my school’s wind ensemble and I’ve recently been accepted to MYAC Symphony Orchestra! When I’m not playing oboe, I play with my 3 dogs, practice art, and play my other two instruments (viola and electric guitar). Music is a huge part of my life and I love sharing that same love with other aspiring oboists!

I use a hands-on approach focused on building confidence in super beginners. We’ll start with the fundamentals—properly soaking the reed, instrument assembly, and basic air support through breathing exercises. A typical lesson includes reed-only tone work followed by learning first notes and simple scales.
As a member of the MYAC Symphony, I bring fresh experience from high-level ensemble playing to help new students develop good habits early on!
