About Maria
I grew up bilingually from a young age and have been living in France (close to the border with Germany) for 18 years. Before I switched to the German-French high school in Saarbrücken (Saarland), I attended a purely French-speaking school for eight years.
In July 2021 I got my A Levels in both languages. Already during middle school and at the beginning of upper school I gave tutoring lessons for younger pupils who were in high school themselves, but also one or two hours for pupils from Saarland schools.

My name is Maria Simon and I am really excited to experience a lesson with you!
Apart from the fact that I try to bring my students closer to grammar, it is extremely important to me to give them an understanding and well-founded basics on the way. From your own experience you can say that there is no better way to learn a language than by practicing regularly and talking to someone who speaks the language on a native level. In the first lesson we will see together if the chemistry fits and which goals or focal points you would like to understand better in German. The course of the lesson is entirely up to the students, where we work out tasks together at the desired pace until the little light bulb hovers over our heads and the tasks have been understood. Or an hour during which open questions can be clarified or subject matter can be repeated.
You are welcome to send me your documents and questions in advance so that we can use the time as efficiently as possible for you during the tutoring! I hope that you were able to get a good first look and that we will see each other soon in our first tutoring session.
