About Lore
Hi! I’m a student who genuinely loves language, ideas, and a good argument. I’ve spent the past six years competing in Speech & Debate, where I regularly place at tournaments and now intern under our head coach. That experience taught me how to build strong arguments, analyze evidence, and communicate clearly, skills that translate directly into better essays and stronger reading comprehension.
Outside of academics, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping others figure things out. I’ve spent a lot of time helping friends and teammates improve their essays, develop arguments, and prepare for exams, and I love seeing the moment when something finally “clicks.” I believe English isn’t just about grammar rules, it’s about learning how to think clearly, express ideas confidently, and engage with the world around you.
When I’m tutoring, I try to make sessions supportive, engaging, and a little fun. My goal isn’t just to help students finish an assignment, it’s to help them become stronger, more confident writers and thinkers.

I bring strong experience in writing, research, and argumentation to my tutoring. I earned a 5 in AP Seminar (with a research project on propaganda in the 21st century), a 4 in AP English Literature, and a 5 in AP U.S. Government, and I currently maintain a near-4.0 GPA while taking four AP classes. Outside the classroom, I’ve competed in Speech & Debate for six years, regularly placing at competitions and interning under our head coach, which has given me extensive experience building clear, persuasive arguments. I’m also the President of Model UN and have won multiple awards for writing and public speaking. Because of this background, I’m especially well equipped to help students strengthen essays, develop strong arguments, analyze texts, and prepare for AP-level coursework.
My approach as a tutor is collaborative and student-focused. I help students break down complex texts, develop clear arguments, and strengthen their writing through guided discussion, structured outlining, and targeted feedback. A typical session might include reviewing an assignment or text, brainstorming ideas together, building a strong thesis, and working through revisions to improve clarity and analysis. My background in allows me to teach students how to think critically and defend their ideas, not just memorize information. My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students, especially those taking honors or AP English courses, preparing for essays, or looking to improve their analytical reading and writing skills.
