About Madelin
I recently graduated from Hwa Chong Junior College and am preparing to begin university. Alongside my studies, I represented Singapore in both basketball and football, which taught me the importance of discipline, resilience, and studying efficiently.
I believe tutoring should go beyond improving grades. My goal is to help students develop a strong understanding of concepts, think independently, and build effective study habits that will benefit them long after our lessons.

I believe the best learning happens when students enjoy the process, not just the outcome. Rather than encouraging memorisation, I focus on building a strong understanding of the underlying concepts so students can apply their knowledge to unfamiliar questions and real exam scenarios. I hope to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their own abilities.
A typical lesson lasts one hour, which I find strikes the right balance between maintaining focus and covering meaningful content. Each lesson is structured to review previous material, introduce or reinforce key concepts, and provide guided practice with immediate feedback, although the structure may change depending on the student’s needs.
Having achieved strong results in the subjects I teach, I have a solid understanding of both the content and the exam techniques needed to succeed. Beyond academics, I have experience coaching children and teenagers aged 7to 18. This has taught me how to adapt my teaching style to different personalities, learning speeds, and confidence levels, allowing me to make lessons effective for every student.
