• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  My interest in AutoCAD developed during my early years in civil engineering when I realized how important accurate drafting and visualization are in construction and structural design. While working on engineering drawings, I became fascinated by how AutoCAD simplifies complex designs and improves precision compared to manual drafting.
  
  Over time, I started exploring advanced tools, practicing regularly, and applying AutoCAD in various engineering and design projects. This continuous learning helped me develop strong expertise in both 2D drafting and practical applications used in real projects.
  
  With more than 15 years of teaching experience, I developed a passion for sharing this knowledge with students. I enjoy helping learners understand concepts clearly, build confidence in drafting, and apply AutoCAD effectively for academic, professional, and industry requirements.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My motivation to teach came from my passion for sharing knowledge and helping students build strong technical skills. During my professional work with engineering software like AutoCAD, I noticed that many students and beginners struggled to understand practical drafting concepts. This inspired me to start guiding them and simplifying complex topics.
  
  Seeing students gain confidence and successfully apply what they learn has been the biggest motivation for me. Over the years, teaching has become more than a profession—it is a way for me to contribute to the growth of future engineers and professionals.
  
  With 15+ years of teaching experience, I focus on clear explanations, practical examples, and step-by-step learning so that students can understand the software effectively and use it in real projects.

• How does your work help society?

  My work helps society by developing skilled professionals who can contribute to the construction and engineering industry. By teaching software such as AutoCAD, I help students and working professionals learn accurate drafting and design technique4. If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?s that are essential for planning buildings, infrastructure, and engineering projects.
  
  Through my teaching, students gain practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills, which improves their career opportunities and helps them perform better in their jobs. Well-trained engineers and designers play an important role in creating safe, efficient, and well-planned structures that benefit society as a whole.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  If I think of a role model for my work, it would be the many experienced engineers and teachers who dedicate themselves to sharing practical knowledge with students. Their ability to simplify complex engineering concepts and guide learners patiently has always inspired me.
  
  In fields like computer-aided design, especially while working with AutoCAD, I realized that a good mentor can make a big difference in a student’s understanding and confidence. Observing such mentors motivated me to adopt a similar teaching approach—clear explanations, practical examples, and strong fundamentals.
  
  
  Their commitment to education encouraged me to continue teaching and helping students build the technical skills required for successful careers in engineering and design.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside teaching, I enjoy activities that help me continue learning and stay connected with the engineering field. I like exploring new features and tools in design software such as AutoCAD, which helps me improve my knowledge and bring updated techniques into my teaching.
  
  I also enjoy reading about civil engineering concepts, construction methods, and project planning tools. This keeps me informed about industry practices and helps me guide students more effectively.
  
  
  In addition, I like interacting with students and professionals, discussing design ideas, and sharing knowledge, which I find both enjoyable and intellectually rewarding.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One memorable experience from my teaching journey involved a student who joined my AutoCAD training with very little knowledge of computer drafting. In the beginning, he found it difficult to understand basic commands and drawing techniques.
  
  With regular practice and step-by-step guidance, he gradually improved his skills and started creating accurate engineering drawings on his own. After completing the training, he successfully used AutoCAD in his job and later shared that the practical approach to learning helped him a lot in his professional work.
  
  
  Moments like these are very satisfying for me as a teacher, because seeing students grow in confidence and succeed in their careers is one of the most rewarding parts of my profession.
