I’m an Old Etonian currently on a Gap year with a passion for History, Politics and Geography. This year I achieved A grades in all three at A-level. I can also offer Admission advice for my students.

About Alexander
Outside academics, I enjoy cricket, sport and following current affairs. I played cricket at Lord’s during my time at Eton and was a Sports Prefect. As the eldest of three siblings, I’ve always enjoyed helping and encouraging younger people. I’m currently training for the 2027 Zurich Marathon, something I have been looking forward to for a long time!

My lessons are designed to make History, Politics and Geography engaging, accessible and relevant to the real world. I combine strong academic foundations with practical experience, helping students understand not just what they need to know, but how to apply it in exams and beyond. Through founding and running The World of UK Politics (TWOP), I regularly research and analyse current affairs, write about political developments and interview politicians. I have also gained real world experience through work with the TPA and Arup, giving me insight into how politics, geography, economics and wider societal issues connect outside the classroom. Lessons will be tailored to each student, with a focus on building confidence, developing independent thinking and improving exam technique.

Alexander helped me go from a B in my first progress test to an A* in my latest set, really helpful tutor, helped me breakdown the harder concepts in a simple way. Alexander was a big reason why I carried on with politics for A-level into year 13, he is very welcoming and explains things clearly!
Excellent, friendly tutor. Great experience for Common Entrance entry prep.
