About Sean
From a very young age, music has been my greatest passion, regardless of genre or style. I began my musical journey at the age of 5 with guitar lessons, continuing for 8 years before moving on to writing and performing my own music. During this time, I also began teaching friends and family, which boosted my confidence and ultimately led me to expand my teaching to new students. My involvement in college and various bands eventually required me to take a break from teaching, but my love for music never waned. At 16, I began performing professionally at a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, pubs, and clubs. In late 2018, I joined an indie band, which opened doors to some amazing opportunities, including headline shows in Dublin venues, acoustic bar gigs, and even festival performances. My four years at Trinity College studying music deepened my understanding of composition and teaching, providing me with fresh perspectives on how to approach developing guitar skills. In addition to my music career, I’ve been a swimming instructor for four years, which further fueled my passion for teaching. This experience has shown me the joy of helping others reach their full potential, and it’s one of the reasons I’m so excited to offer guitar lessons to students now!

I take a relaxed, student-led approach to teaching guitar. Whether you’re brand new or looking to take your playing to the next level, I tailor each lesson to suit your style, goals, and pace. We can work on anything from chords and songs to theory, technique, and even songwriting.
Lessons are usually 45 minutes to an hour (30 mins for younger kids), and I teach all ages and levels—no pressure, no judgment, just real progress and enjoyment.
I’ve got a BA in Music from Trinity College Dublin and over 10 years of experience as a performing musician. My goal is to help you build confidence, play the music you love, and have fun doing it.
