Throughout most of my academic career, I have always had tutors who I felt were doing the work for me instead of teaching it to me so I can do it on my own. Therefore I had to make up my tips and tricks to start teaching myself how to study correctly, and I have been quite successful academically ever since. My teaching methods are based on student needs and the subject in which I will be tutoring. For example: If I were helping a student in science, I would go over how to take notes effectively and to teach the content in a way that allows the student to grasp the understanding of the concept rather then just blankly memorizing it.
