About Clarissa
Hi, I’m Clarissa. I’m in the final year of my BCom Financial Management Sciences degree at the University of Pretoria and I’m a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
I have previous experience tutoring Accounting, and I genuinely enjoy helping students understand the subject. I’m patient, approachable, and I believe that with the right support, every student can excel.
I have a relaxed and supportive teaching style, and I want every student to feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I believe Accounting is much easier when you understand why you’re doing something instead of just memorising steps. My goal is to explain concepts in different ways until they genuinely make sense. If something doesn’t click the first time, that’s completely okay. I’ll keep explaining it from different angles until it does.
I’m currently in the final year of my BCom Financial Management Sciences degree at the University of Pretoria and I’m a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Alongside my studies, I’ve gained experience tutoring Accounting and have developed a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in the subject.
Because I’ve studied the material recently, I know which topics students usually find difficult and how to explain them in a way that’s easier to understand. My lessons are relaxed, encouraging and interactive, while still keeping a strong focus on helping you improve your marks and build confidence.
I currently specialise in IEB Grade 12 Accounting and the University of Pretoria’s FRK111 and FRK121 Financial Accounting modules. My aim is to help you understand the work well enough that you feel confident applying it independently in tests and exams, rather than simply memorising the answers.

Clarissa is one of my closest friends from high school and has always been very patient with me as we tackled the subjects we took together, taking the time to ensure I understood each topic before moving on to the next.
