About Francisco Javier
Spanish modern and baroque cellist, his work covers from modern recordings in Abbey Road Studios to concerts at BBC Radio 3, New Generation Baroque Ensembles.
Just graduated with Distinction and full scholarship in his Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music, Javier also studied a MPerf at Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the teaching of Rebecca Gilliver (principal cellist of London Symphony Orchestra) Koninklijk Conservarorium of The Hague, The Netherlands, and COSCYL, Salamanca, Spain.
He has performed as soloist, chamber and orchestral musician Amarillys Fleming Concert Hall, Barbican Centre, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall, St John Smith Square among others.
He has gone on tour around Europe to play in Berlin Konzerthaus, Young Euro Classics; Menuhin Baroque Music Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland; Gustav Mahler’s Dobiacco , Italy; Keukenhof Castle, the Netherlands; full Scholarship last summer at Academia-Encuentro de Santander; Alhambra de Granada, Spain.
Javier has played with several historical instruments, being the most remarkable and currently playing a W. Foster II, built in 1804 for the Composer R. Lindley and played by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, Charles of Windsor during his time as student at the Royal College.
