About MaryJo
Over the past 14 years I have taught countless numbers of students for academic, personal and professional purposes. Institutions and locations have varied greatly - private language and state run secondary/primary schools, on-site business, university/college, military bases, private homes and online. Group sizes over the years have ranged from 3 to 24 per class - single and mixed nationality sessions. Exam courses I have taught with overwhelming success rates: Cambridge Exam Suite, IELTS, City & Guilds Entry 1/2/3.

I teach anyone who wants to learn between the ages of 18 and 80. Undergrads struggling with dissertations, business professionals in 'impending presentation' crisis, retired anglophiles, Cambridge Exam/IELTS takers, advertisers in marketing meltdown and the internationally 'jargon confused' ESP community, are or have been on my client list. However varied this may seem, I always remain focussed on the specific communication blocks, linguistic weakness at hand. I use bespoke, standardized ESOL, realia, live case materials - anything and everything that will get the job done. I'm methodical, adaptable, intellectual and not at all scary! I'm a UK national and have taught in England, Europe, Africa, Asia and Scandinavia.
