About Chrissie
My name is Chrissie and I am a personal online tutor. I have over 10 years of experience and I tutor Maths at KS3, GCSE, A Level and University standard. I also provide tutoring lessons in English, Non Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Maths for KS2 students that are looking to sit the 11+ for selective examinations to Grammar schools.
I fell in love with the education system and helping other people learn whilst I was still a child. I supported my younger brother with his studies and by my teenage years, I knew my heart was in education. Whilst I was still at school as an A Level Maths student, I took on my first Maths pupil (a GCSE student who achieved an A*). My passion in private tuition was born and continued to grow throughout my education at University (Maths Degree) and my employment (in Accountancy and Teaching).
I coupled my tuition work at University with a role as a Student Ambassador. I assisted with organising event days for schools to inspire children in the delights of learning. I also supported individuals in 6th form colleges with their UCAS applications, personal statements and CV's. Alongside student ambassador commitments I continued tutoring, branching out to A Level Maths. Upon leaving University, I took my first job as a Tax consultant and extended my tuition to include the 11+.
It was only a year before I really missed being part of the education system and I applied for a PGCE at Kings College London. I have been a Secondary school maths teacher in the UK for 3 years. Two of those years were at an all boys, secondary school teaching KS3, GCSE and A Level Maths. I trained in two contrasting schools: an all boys grammar and a local comprehensive for a year.
During the Summer months, I teach in an International summer school in the UK called Oxford Royale Academy. Here I teach Maths to students aged 16 - 18 that are looking to study material beyond the school curriculum and explore mathematics further in line with University education. I also work as an examiner for Edexcel, marking GCSE papers and invigilate in both school and University exams.
Away from and around the UK, I am an avid explorer and I have travelled around South Asia, Europe and Africa where I have met the local students and taught in small schools of disadvantaged children.
I attended a local grammar school and achieved 11 GCSEs (A* - B) and 3 A Levels and 3 AS’s (A - B). After school, I studied Mathematics at the University of Kent, Canterbury. Overall I achieved a 2:1 including a Dissertation on the Property of Latin Squares in which I achieved a 1st.
Over the past 10 years, I have taught over 200 students. I will tailor my teaching to suit the needs of the students and I will ensure that they learn confidence skills in their ability on top of Mathematical study or the 11+. Thank you for reading. I hope I can help you with your educational career!

During my experience of tutoring, it has been a shame to have to cancel lessons due to travel arrangements or weather. As the generations move further into a digital world, it seemed only rational that tuition services should join that world. I therefore continued my tuition but now online rather than static.
Gain all of the standard advantages from 1 to 1 tuition, but have your lessons from the comfort of your own home or place you feel happiest studying.
- Video link tuition (Via Skype/ WeChat or other service that suits you)
- Interaction between tutor and student via Bitpaper Whiteboard where both people can make changes on a shared screen.
- No need to worry about cancelling lessons due to travel costs or weather.
- Easy access to immediate resources for your needs.
Access to high quality education has never been so easily available and we should take of advantage of this and learn as much as we can from others online. Thank you for stopping by and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to meeting you!
