About L Maria
¡Hola!
My name is María. I am a native Spanish teacher from Spain, and I have been helping students learn and master Spanish for more than 15 years.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Philology from the University of Salamanca and a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the same university.
Throughout my career, I have taught Spanish in Spain and abroad, working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and at all levels, from beginners to advanced speakers. My passion for languages has taken me around the world, allowing me to study at different universities, live in several countries, and gain a deeper understanding of how people learn and communicate across cultures.
I speak four languages, and my love for languages, cultures, and teaching inspires me to create engaging lessons that help students communicate with confidence and enjoy the learning process.
I look forward to helping you discover Spanish in a natural, effective, and enjoyable way!

My Spanish teaching method is designed to help students develop real communication skills without depending on translation from their native language. Through practical, immersive learning, students begin to think and respond directly in Spanish, which helps them build fluency, improve accuracy, and avoid common translation-based mistakes.
The method offers two main paths:
1. General Spanish — Speak with Confidence in Everyday Life
Students learn the Spanish they need for real conversations: understanding native speakers, expressing ideas naturally, improving pronunciation, and communicating with confidence in daily situations.
2. Spanish for Executives — Communicate with Impact in Business
Designed for professionals and leaders who need Spanish for meetings, negotiations, presentations, networking, and international business relationships. The focus is on clear, effective communication and cultural understanding.
By learning Spanish through context, repetition, and direct interaction with the language, students develop the ability to express themselves naturally rather than translating from their native language, allowing them to speak more naturally and avoid common mistakes.
This approach helps reduce errors, increases confidence, and creates a more authentic Spanish-speaking experience.
