About Kate
I encourage all students to share their preferred methods of learning, to bring their own materials to class and to take part in the planning process. When it comes to learning a new language, it is always best to explore new methods of study, however each student should have a say in how they are taught - after all, it's not the teacher's class!
Not only does this work best for students, but it also keeps me on my toes as a tutor, with the opportunity to explore new avenues of learning.

Everyone is capable of achieving brilliant things. Welsh is deemed one of the most difficult languages to learn - known for its long, vowel-less place names, "harsh" sounds and variety of dialects - it is also said that unless you live and breathe the language from a baby, you will not pick up Welsh.
Which, would be the case... unless you are working with me.
I'm only joking... but it is true that hard work and commitment go a long way when learning a new language, or any new skill for that matter. Welsh is a phonetic language, which means that unlike English, you pronounce each and every letter that is written. It is also a very versatile languages with a variety of dialects making up its speaker population making it easier to pick up colloquially and use in real-life situations.
All classes are held online. As a tutor, I have one year's experience of creating and delivering Welsh lessons online to learners from all over the world. I hold a TEFL teaching qualification and a BA Modern Languages degree.
