About Rosie
I’m a writer, performer, and now primarily a director, currently studying English at the University of Oxford. My background is rooted in music and theatre — I hold Grade 8 in Clarinet and Singing, have a strong choral foundation and have been involved with theatre from the age of three. I direct multiple projects alongside my degree and bring that lived, evolving experience into every tutoring session. I achieved A*s in English Literature, Drama, History and EPQ and have several years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. My teaching style is student-led, adaptive, and creative — I believe that learning should feel alive, relevant, and rooted in the individual’s way of thinking. I aim to create a space where students not only gain clarity and confidence in their work, but feel inspired to explore and express their ideas fully. I also support personal statement writing and university preparation, particularly for creative and academic applications like Oxbridge and creative courses. I provide clear written feedback and regular progress updates. Above all, I care deeply about helping students find their voice — and trust in it.

My tutoring is student-led, creative, and encouraging — I adapt each session to suit individual learning styles, using discussion-based and practical methods. Lessons are typically 60 minutes. I hold A*s in English and Drama, study English at Oxford, and direct theatre and film alongside my degree. I blend this academic rigour with my creative passions which reflects in my tutoring style. I provide written feedback and progress reports, with long-term experience tutoring both subjects. I also offer support with personal statements and university preparation, drawing on my own successful application experience.
