About Oliver
Hello!
I am a (soon to be) graduate of the University of Oxford (St.John's College), reading for a B.A in Anthropology and Archaeology.
I have 5 years of experience, tutoring around 12 students (of diverse ages and backgrounds) in multiple disciplines at various levels (from Music GCSE to Undergraduate Anthropology). I have helped 3 students get into Oxford, through offering interview preparation and personal statement help.

I have found that my teaching method differs greatly from student to student and is largely influenced by what they wish to get out of the lessons.
Broadly speaking, for those who are looking for lessons to support their exam efforts, I offer a more structured learning plan, in order to ensure that the course content is covered and various exam skills are addressed. However, if you are looking for tutorials with an eye to self-extension, there is a lot more flexibility in how we shall approach the lessons which could take the form of book discussions or thematic debates etc.
In either case, I am not a great supporter of structured homework, which I believe ultimately hinders learning. However, I often shall suggest materials for you to engage with at your own leisure i.e articles, podcasts or videos.
All lesson materials (lectures, videos, worksheets) I make shall be offered to you free of charge.

The lessons for those who are looking to sit exams and require course preparation will take more work and so I shall ask for more money from.
Distance outside of a 30min walk I may ask for compensation.
