About Rafaella
I cover three different aspects of my subject:
- exam preparation (GCSE/A Level/IB) - all students have gone on to achieve at least a grade higher than predicted
- 11+/13+ - students have had offers from schools including RGS, St Paul's and Claremont
- university and Oxbridge preparation - the five Oxbridge candidates I have mentored one on one all received offers

I am an extremely experienced tutor with an excellent track record of achievement among my students, whether preparing for GCSE/A Level, 11/13+, or Oxbridge/university admission.
I am happy to tailor our sessions to your needs - I believe that learning should be an individually crafted experience where possible. I get to know my pupils in order to understand what they best respond to through looking at their past work and in conversation. Literature is created to provide entertainment and debate, not boredom, and I aim to rekindle some of this delight.
However, I will also pay due attention to the curriculum in order to improve the pupil`s material grades, and help them come up with strategies that work for them in an exam situation. With literature, there is never any `right` answer, and I hope to help students embrace and utilise this freedom.
I am a freelance theatre director, and run my own theatre company that focuses on rejuvenating classics. My special love is Shakespeare, but my experience and enthusiasm extends beyond drama to an eclectic range of literature, from Austen to graphic novels.
I am based in London Bridge with easy access to public transport, so travel should not be a problem. Where meeting in person is not possible, I offer Skype sessions with students.

Details
My basic rate is £40 an hour, based on my level of experience and success - I don't usually charge for travel, although when travelling outside of Zone 3, I may ask for reimbursement on train fare.
