I start every tutoring relationship with a conversation, and tailor my sessions accordingly. If the student is preparing for an exam, we may organize tests; if they're struggling with constructing proofs, we might go right back to basics. Together, we develop a plan, and then in lessons, I'm attentive. The way I explain solutions is always shaped by the student's personal reactions, and feedback. I learn from them about how they think about things, and help them expand that thinking into new arenas.

Perfect! Excellent Maths and Stats Tutor
Isis is an excellent maths and stats tutor and was able to adapt her unique teaching style to help me, in the summer, learn fundamental concepts for maths and stats at the first and second-year university level. Also, don't be afraid of the testing because it is one of the best ways to learn!
Subject : Maths
Outcome : A better understanding of both maths and stats, as well as having an improved ability in being able to tackle unseen problems.View more reviews

Isis and I worked together focussing on creating and developing data visualisation tools. Isis took time out to tutor myself and our team in how principal component analysis works
As a friend from university, Isis was a great help in helping me to understand the more mathematically involved processes that I came across in my degree (Biological Sciences) but felt unprepared for. Would highly recommend.
Isis is a very helpful and intelligent person. I study Biology at Oxford. I have always struggled with the statistics modules, and on multiple occasions have asked Isis for help, as a mathematician. She has always been very clear and concise, but flexible and responsive to my understanding. She is very approachable and emotionally intelligent. I went from feeling useless at stats to achieving a high first in my statistics paper, partly because of her explanations, but also the boost to my confidence.
Isis was fantastic from start to finish - all lessons were very well and logically structured. Coming from a complete humanities background and needing to understand more complex mathematical concepts for statistical research, I couldn’t have conducted any of it without her help. Very grateful for the clarity she taught with, and she was always flexible with my schedule and travel plans, working around them despite hard time differences and my busy schedule. Would highly recommend her service!

Isis taught me mathematical modelling during my biology degree. She was really good at breaking down large problems into more manageable concepts and patient when things took me a while to understand.
Isis is capable of taking very difficult and complex concepts and breaking them down carefully in a way that everyone understands. What makes Isis stand out is her ability to cater to bright children, who may not receive the full attention they need in school. She is great at capturing interest and enthusiasm to stretch children without them ever feeling pushed.
I am a DPhil student at Oxford, and have known Isis as a friend for the past couple years. She is a brilliant mathematician, a very kind and thoughtful friend, and an absolute joy to be around.
I have been good friends with Isis for over a year. We first met when I was visiting a friend at Oxford University, where she also studies. Even though we had just met, she quickly made me feel comfortable with her warmth and good humour. Throughout our friendship she has consistently proven herself trustworthy.
In the face of adversity she has always acted with equanimity, and has always presented herself in a way that is level headed.
While Isis is not only intelligent, she is also able to readily communicate those ideas effectively and concisely. I have tutored refugee children at the Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre for three year, and know these skills to be invaluable.
Isis has an aptitude for emotional intelligence. When she was staying with me and some family friends in the north of England she became very popular with the young daughters of my godmother, and faced a near constant barrage of questions from them over the course of her stay. While most of the other adults there could be dismissive of the children, Isis was continually patient with them and answered their questions without any patronisation.

Isis is an excellent tutor and mathematician. She is patient and clear in her explanations of difficult concepts and made sure I understood each detail of what we were doing.
Isis' tutoring style is highly effective and I would absolutely recommend her. She takes the time to properly break down complex parts of mathematical problems into much simpler points which makes the subject much easier to study and understand. Also very reliable, friendly and patient.
Isis is a joy to be around and is an incredible leader and teacher! I've personally seen Isis break down incredibly complex numbers and figures concerning Brexit data into digestible formats for those who do not have her training and expertise.
As a 4th year research DPhil in Clinical Medicine at Oxford, I have known Isis for years and can absolutely guarantee both her intelligence, her commitment, her wonderful attitude, and her adept teaching in Maths.View more recommendations
