About Nabila
My love of science started early. As a young person, I was obsessed with finding out 'why' everything and anything happened. I continuously asked my teachers tough questions, and I don't think I've ever stopped. I was lucky enough to have some fantastic teachers, and this really instilled in me the belief that everyone deserves access to great teaching. I encourage and welcome questions: they build a brilliant foundation in the Sciences and tell me exactly what students are thinking.
I grew up in Oxford, attended a state comprehensive, and went on to study Biochemistry at Oxford University. That journey taught me that with the right support, any student can exceed their own expectations. I became a tutor because I wanted to offer students something genuinely personal: a space where questions are welcomed, confusion is treated as a starting point, and progress is celebrated. Science can feel intimidating, but it doesn't have to. After more than seven years teaching and tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Physics — from Year 7 through to A Level — I still find it just as rewarding when a student finally grasps a concept they've been wrestling with, or beats the grade they thought was out of reach.

I'm a specialist tutor in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (GCSE) and A Level Biology with a Master's in Biochemistry from Oxford and a PGCE with Distinction from King's College London. Over the past seven years, I've worked with students from KS3 through to A Level, helping them move from confused to confident — and from predicted Bs to actual A*s. My approach is built around making things make sense. I use visual explanations, real-world analogies, and careful questioning to find the gap between what a student knows and what they need to know and then we close it together. I try to ensure students leave each lesson able to explain the concept back in their own words, and understand how to decode and approach exam questions.
Lessons are typically 50 minutes - 1 hour, tailored entirely to the student: whether that's unpicking a tricky topic, working through exam technique, or rebuilding confidence after a knock. I work across AQA, Edexcel (including SNAB), OCR, and iGCSE specifications. I teach students aged 11–18, from those who just need a little extra push to those targeting the very top grades. Across my tuition work, 96% of my GCSE and A Level students have achieved 8–9s or A*–B grades, including several with three-grade improvements.
