About Stevie
I'm a recent Oxford University English graduate based in North London, and my greatest passion is teaching and inspiring an appreciation of English language and literature. I placed first out of all candidates nationally who sat the Oxford English entrance examination (the only candidate to receive full marks), and during my time there specialised in Early Modern and 20th/21st Century literature, graduating with a high 2:1.
I have experience teaching a spectrum of ages for the last 8 years. During my sixth form years, I provided voluntary tuition in English and Maths for 11-16 year olds after school, and during university I provided further voluntary tuition and support to prospective university applicants during the summer vacations.
These experiences have taught me the importance of sympathy and patience in teaching, and I will always be able to slow down or speed up the course of learning as required, supporting you all the way.

I'm very flexible to the needs of my students, and am capable of adapting tuition to all levels of experience and confidence.
In our first lesson, we'll get to know each other and discuss your objectives and style of learning - I want to understand how you like to learn, what is easy for you, and what is difficult for you. From this, we'll develop a well-prepared, interesting and valuable lesson plan.
I'm happy to run lessons of any length and frequency, and I offer both in-person and online tuition.
I understand English can be daunting, but I truly believe there's enjoyment to be taken for all given the right approach!
