About Lucy
I am originally from the UK, and studied English Literature at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2021. I enjoyed English at school, but mainly through teachers who showed me that literature can be interesting and immersive, but I am aware that English is not for everyone, and some people find essay writing much more challenging than the STEM subjects. I hope to be able to make it simpler and more enjoyable for you!

My services can take whatever form works best for you - typically we could take a weekly one hour session to talk through and structure any essays you are struggling with, or do some textual analysis on class set texts. I can cater for all high school age groups, although my expertise is geared towards age 15-18.
I hope to be able to make essay writing seem less daunting, by offering one-to-one support on how to compose introductions, structure paragraphs and form conclusions, hopefully while bringing out the fun in the texts you are studying and bringing an enjoyment back to literature!
