About Larissa
Hi my name is Larissa, I am currently teaching year 5.
I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with qualified teaching status.
I am an experienced Key Stage 1 and 2 teacher. As a full time teacher I am constantly kept up to date with current practices and expectations of the curriculum.
Working in Upper Key Stage 2 has given me a wealth of experience in getting children ready for their SATs.
I also hаve а pаrticulаr strength in teаching Eаrly reаding аnd Phоnics, аnd аchieved very high phоnics results whilst teаching in Yeаr 1. Leаrning tо reаd is the gаtewаy tо sо much pleаsure аnd enjоyment аnd I feel reаlly pаssiоnаtely аbоut helping children thrоugh the eаrly stаges оf their reаding jоurney.
I mainly take on children from KS1 and KS2 with a focus on raising attainment and SATs preparation, particularly in Maths, reading and writing.
