About Lydie
I was born and raised in Normandie, a north western region of France. I graduated from Universite de Caen Normandie in Adult Vocational Training. I spent 14 years teaching French to foreign students and six years as an educator at the French school for children with disabilities and violent disorders. I am currently teaching at a French immersion school in Austin, Texas.
I love my French culture, arts and literature. I am passionate about sharing the very best of my culture with you. That is why I am such a passionate French language teacher. My work and life experiences have thought me not only to be an effective teacher, but also to be compassionate and caring individual who can see potentials in every one of my students.

I am using the Communicative language teaching method. My students learn and practice French through the interaction with me. My goal is to enable my students to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations they would likely find themselves in. I use simulations of real world situations. My students learn basic skills such as describing, inquiring, informing, explaining, inviting, suggesting, complaining and notions such as the expression of time, quantity and location.
I currently give private and online lessons to 35 students every weeks.
I have already taught over 60 students in America, and logged more than 2000 hours.
I am going to work with you to create a program tailored to your individual goals and needs.
I can help you with all aspects of French including grammar, conversation, vocabulary and overall fluency.
I am the right person to teach you because I am a dedicated and effective French language teacher.
My work and life experiences have taught me not only to be effective teacher, but also to be compassionate and caring individual who can see potentials in everyone of my students.
