About Ashley
My name is Ashley Mhone and I am a primary school teacher and tutor. I have a degree in education and have worked in schools or with children in some capacity now for 12 years. I am currently working as a primary school teacher (in year 6) and subject leader and have been in this role for 6 years. I have worked in both KS1 and KS2 and have experience with SATs, exam preparation and 11+ exams. I also have experience working with children with SEN and autism as well as teaching English as an additional language and have a TEFL certificate. I can also support with the KS3 curriculum.
I use the PPP method (Presentation, practice, production) which really allows me to teach, allows the student to practice on what’s being taught and then allows them to shine. I also use a variety of different techniques depending on the needs of the individual student.
I believe lessons should be fun and motivating and this is at the forefront of all my lesson planning. The main aim is for each student to get as much out of the lesson as possible whether you are a child or an adult learner. I am looking forward to helping you exceed your expectations and become the best you can be, whether that is online or face to face.
