About Ajia
Hi, I'm Ms. Ajia! With seven years of teaching experience and a background in elementary and special education, I believe every student deserves the opportunity to learn in a way that works best for them.
My lessons focus on your child's unique strengths, interests, and learning needs. I create a fun, supportive environment where students take ownership of their learning, express their creativity, and build the confidence to become stronger readers, writers, and independent thinkers.

My Teaching Approach:
I believe learning should be engaging, encouraging, and tailored to your child's individual needs. I take the time to understand their strengths, identify areas where they need additional support, and create lessons that help them succeed. Whether your child is struggling with reading comprehension or loves writing imaginative stories, I meet them where they are and help them reach their full potential.
What to Expect During Lessons:
Every session is structured to keep your child engaged while making meaningful academic progress. We begin with a fun warm-up, followed by a focused lesson where I model new skills and provide guided practice. Your child will then have the opportunity to practice independently while receiving personalized feedback and encouragement.
What Makes My Lessons Different:
As both a general and special education educator, I have experience working with students at various academic levels and adapting instruction to their needs. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where your child feels confident asking questions, expressing their creativity, and making mistakes without fear.
I also believe communication with parents is essential. I'll keep you informed about your child's progress, celebrate their improvements, and share strategies you can use to support their learning at home.

I specialize in working with elementary students in grades 2–5 who need support or enrichment in reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, paragraph writing, and creative writing.
