About Tu'ifua
I am an immigrant myself, and have always treasured knowledge. I believe great teachers are the foundation of great students and to teach well so kids learn proactively is something I aim to do. I have younger siblings who are also studying and so I teach them too when they need help.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, structured, and responsive to individual learning styles. I believe in building strong foundational knowledge through repetition, consistent practice, and real-world application. My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and goal-oriented, ensuring students not only understand the content but feel confident applying it independently. I use a combination of teaching techniques, including: Scaffolded learning (breaking down complex topics into manageable steps) Active recall and spaced repetition (for long-term retention) Visual and verbal explanations (to suit different learning styles) Ongoing feedback and reflection (to track growth and adapt lessons accordingly) A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though I can tailor this to suit the student’s needs—whether it’s focused 30-minute sessions or extended 90-minute deep dives. I’m currently a second-year Bachelor of Health Science student at the University of Auckland, with strong academic performance across English, science, and humanities. In 2022, I founded a tuition program for NCEA and high school students, and have since transitioned to independent tutoring, supporting students one-on-one in both academic and exam-focused learning. My lessons are ideal for: Secondary students (Years 9–13) working on NCEA Levels 1–3 Students needing help in English, writing, health science, and exam prep Learners seeking patient, consistent, and structured guidance I aim to create a safe, encouraging space where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their academic goals.
