About Iman
Hi! I’m Iman — a History graduate from a Russell Group university currently studying at the University of Oxford with a passion for helping students build confidence and enjoyment in their studies. I specialise in teaching History at GCSE and A-Level, and I’m familiar with multiple exam boards, including AQA and WJEC. While I’m still building my formal tutoring experience, I’ve worked informally with several students over the past year, helping them develop their understanding of key historical topics, improve their essay-writing skills, and boost their exam confidence. I’ve also supported peers and younger learners in strengthening their essay structure, source analysis, and ability to form balanced arguments. My lessons are fully personalised and interactive. A typical session might involve breaking down exam-style questions, practising essay planning, analysing primary sources, or discussing historical debates to deepen understanding. I often use visual aids, structured frameworks, and discussion-based activities to make learning engaging and memorable. As someone with ADHD, I’m especially passionate about creating an inclusive, flexible learning environment that supports neurodiverse students. I understand how important it is to make lessons dynamic and adaptable to each learner’s focus, pace, and interests. My goal is to make History engaging, empowering, and relevant. I encourage students to see it not just as a list of facts and dates, but as a way to understand ideas, evaluate evidence, and think independently. Above all, I want every student to leave our sessions feeling more confident, capable, and inspired to keep learning.
