About Sinchana

I've been lecturing people since I was old enough to read and write. In high school, I scored a 97% in my English boards after explaining the syllabus to my classmates 10 times over. In pre-university, I secured a 100% in my Psychology boards because my peers kept stopping me after class, asking questions they were too afraid to ask the lecturers. In undergrad, I sat in on guest lectures, seminars and panel discussions to maintain my 8.7 grade point average. Now, as a prospective Masters student, I have scored 8.0 overall band score on my IELTS (Reading & Listening - 8.5 ; Speaking & Writing - 7.5)

Discussion and interaction is where real learning happens. Even in formal institutions, effective learning happens outside exam halls, with one student summarising a 200-page novel in 10 minutes for their friend. It doesn't have to be that way, though. You don't have to rush your intellectual enrichment. Those sessions can be detailed, well-structured, and worthwhile when done at home with a personal teacher who understands your academic needs. I believe I can be that teacher.

About the lesson

I believe dispassion is learning's worst enermy. Which is why my teaching method involves connecting a subject that you may not be interested in with a subject that you enjoy. This can help to make the less interesting subject more relatable and engaging. The English langauge is not the easiest to master. However, it only takes a little fun and a lot of practice (and reading) to get where you want to be.

My teaching is best suited for school students (6th to 10th grade). I am well-equipped to teach both literature and liguistics. I can communicate with the student in Kannada and Hindi and use that to improve their English language skills. My classes will primarily be result-oriented. They will involve intensive yet quick assignments and tests.
